

Who I Am
I’ve been practising law for more than 14 years, across both New South Wales and Queensland, working in regional and boutique CBD firms before starting Atchison Legal.
From there, I stepped into a leadership role inside a property development business. That shift changed how I saw legal work - not as theory or risk-avoidance, but as a practical tool to that is par of a larger decision making process .
That experience shaped everything about how I practise law today - fast where it matters, clear where it counts, and always focused on practical outcomes.
Why I Do Things Differently
Too often clients receive advice that’s cautious but not useful - or precise, but completely disconnected from the commercial realities they’re dealing with.
That kind of advice slows things down. It is frustrating and for clients and often adds cost without adding value.
I practise differently. I work quickly, communicate clearly, focus on what you are trying to achieve and help you make legally sound decisions without the overcomplication. You’ll know what’s included, what it costs, and what’s coming next.

The Legal Work I’m Best At
I’m not the lawyer for everything and that’s the point.
I do my best work on matters that need a fast turnaround, commercial insight, and no-nonsense advice. That might be a lease that needs reviewing before a deal is finalised, a contract that needs to reflect a real-world agreement, or a property transaction with multiple moving parts.
If it needs strategic thinking, clear communication, and timely execution - that’s where I add value.




Frequently asked questions
Fast, but not at the expense of clarity or rigour. I regularly review contracts and advise on transactions under time pressure, especially when agents or counterparties are moving quickly. If it’s urgent, I’ll tell you exactly what I can deliver and by when.
Scope changes. I just flag it early. If a transaction expands or you need support beyond what we originally discussed, I’ll set out options clearly so you can decide how to proceed. There’s no ambiguity or drift.
